A handoff is done when someone else can run the work and stop it without you in the room.
For owners who want a role or workflow to survive a day off, a new hire or a switch to another agent. Another person, or another agent, gets only your handoff notes and an ordinary case they haven't seen before. You watch without helping and write down every time you'd have had to step in.

Steps
- Pick one role or workflow and gather only what a newcomer would get: the role text, your handoff notes and the list of what needs your OK.
- Give it to someone who didn't set it up (a person or a separate agent), with one ordinary case they haven't seen and one case where something changed, such as an old price list or an expired approval.
- Step out. Don't answer questions or coach; note every question they had to ask you.
- Check four things: did they find the current version, finish the ordinary case, catch the changed one, and know how to stop the work and whom to call?
- If someone outside helped you set it up, remove their access first, then confirm you can still run it, reach every record and stop it.
What to do with the result
Every question they had to ask is a missing line in your notes; add it. Run the test again with a new case whenever the people or the tools change.
