Settings that enforce it
- Use a research or browsing mode that isn't signed in to your accounts.
- If your tool can cap searches, pages or steps per task, set the cap to your budget.
- Block sign-ups, purchases and form submissions for this agent if your tool allows it.
- Keep one list of what you already know and one list of sources to skip, and update both after each report.
- If your tool can't do one of these, leave that part of the job with a person.
One check before you trust it
Ask it whether any business in your city already offers a service you're planning. If it finds none, the report should list where it looked and say "none found in these searches", never "you'd be the first".
