Settings that enforce it
- Run it in a separate chat or project from the one that wrote the draft.
- Give it a copy of the draft, with no edit access to your website, newsletter tool or social accounts.
- Keep your keep list and your good and bad samples in one file, and add to it each time you undo a cut.
- If you edit in a shared document, use suggestion or tracked-changes mode, so no edit lands without you.
- If your tool can't do one of these, leave that part of the job with a person.
One check before you trust it
Paste in a draft with a throat-clearing opener, a summary closer and the line "Most installs take about two days." The opener and the closer should go, "most" and "about" should stay, and no new number should appear.
